Prototyping board version of capacitive sensor module
With the susccess of breadboard test, I further soldered components on a prototyping board. There are two reasons for this act. First, of course, I can clear out the breadboard for other purposes. Second, I can make this circuit into a module showing the potential minimum size.
Breadboard test of capacitive sensor module
Due to frequent useage of capacitive sensor among my previous projects, I decide to toolize and modulize it as part of my own toolkit development(coming soon). Basically, this sensor consists of a QT118H chip, a 0.1uF50W capacitor, a 470K resistor and an LED for feedback signaling. The circuit showing on the breadboaed test is described on the datasheet of QT118H. In the movie below, you can see that this circuit successfully lighted up an LED while the finger touched the copper pad.

Tony's TUI Study
Tony is an interaction designer focusing on the development of Tangible User Interface (TUI). He's interest is how to adopt Adaptive Computing techniques to acheive Intuitive control behavior. This webblog is a platform where he is going to record and introduce detail steps of current related projects.
